About Our Founder

I believe in the power of connection and inspiration, and I’m committed to ensuring every mentee has the resources and guidance they need to navigate life’s challenges.

Since founding Kind Mentoring, I’ve seen firsthand how a little support can go a long way in shaping confident, capable young men who are ready to make a positive impact.

After graduating from Morris College, where I served as Secretary of the Student Government and President of Men of Morris, I returned to my hometown of Anderson, SC, in 2021. There, I joined groups like the Black Excellences Club and the Anderson County Human Relations Council, while also finding my calling at the Upstate Fatherhood Coalition.

With a degree in Criminal Justice and a certification in Business Office Support, I bring both academic knowledge and real-world experience to my work. But it’s my faith and ambition that drive me to keep pushing for positive change, inspiring the next generation of leaders.

Have Questions About kind mentoring?

  • Our program provide consistent support through one-on-one meetings. We work with young men to identify and understand the root causes of their behavioral challenges, offer emotional support, teach coping strategies, and help them set and achieve personal goals. We also create a safe and open space where they can express themselves freely.

  • Progress is tracked through regular check-ins and conversations between the mentor and the mentee. Additionally, we work with parents, guardians, and teachers to monitor improvements in behavior, academic performance, and overall well-being. Goals are set at the beginning of the program, and mentors help their mentees assess their progress over time.

  • We focus on essential life skills such as emotional regulation, conflict resolution, communication, time management, decision-making, goal-setting, and teamwork. The goal is to equip young men with the tools they need to thrive in everyday situations and make positive choices for their future.

  • Yes, we encourage active involvement from parents or guardians in the process. Regular communication between the mentor and families helps ensure that everyone is on the same page and working together to support the young man’s growth.

  • The mentorship program requires a $45.00 service/administrative fee per student, charged quarterly. This fee helps cover the costs of program administration, materials, and the ongoing evaluation of each student. Evaluations are conducted at 3, 6, 9, and 12-month intervals to ensure the student’s progress is monitored effectively and that the program continues to meet their needs.

Our motto is: "Your Mindset Determines Adversity." We focus on three pillars for Kind Mentoring: Come Ready, Come Prepared, and Dodge All Fear. Together, we can empower the leaders of tomorrow!
